Dairy farm emergency prevention checklist

It is a good idea for dairy farmers to think about hazards, risks and areas of vulnerability on their property at least once a year. Use of a checklist can usefully be linked to a review of emergency planning for the business. Recognising hazards, then taking steps to reduce or prevent them may create a safer environment for everyone on the farm.

Dairy Australia has developed a checklist, which includes suggestions to help farmers prepare for and reduce the potential for injury and property damage. The checklists are not meant to be all-inclusive, but may be a useful starting point or guide.
