Alison Brien left her corporate life behind several years ago to follow her passion for cheese and become a professional ‘fromager’ – a person who specialises in cheese.

Over the past few years Alison has worked in some of the best cheese rooms in Sydney, sharing her passion and knowledge with those new to the delights of specialty cheese and life-long cheese-lovers alike.

Alison has trained under Hervé Mons – one of France’s leading affineurs, has completed the UK Cheese Guild’s ‘Cheese Diploma’ and represented Australia at the ‘Cheese-Monger Invitational’ in New York in 2011. She is also a qualified cheese judge, regularly judging at the Sydney Royal Cheese Show.

Alison is passionate about cheese education and hosts cheese appreciation events through her business Cheese Boardroom, matching cheese to wine, beer and even whisky.
