Cooking with Cream
Transform an otherwise standard recipe into a memorable highlight with a dollop of flavoured double or rich cream.
Sweet
Stir or swirl into double or rich cream:
- Vanilla bean seeds and a little icing sugar
Chilled fruit purées such as mango, strawberry, raspberry and a matched liqueur
Dried fruit macerated in liqueur
Flavoured curd e.g. lemon and passionfruit curd
Savoury
Stir or swirl into double or rich cream:
- Pesto or Salsa verde
Puréed roasted garlic and fresh herb
Roasted red peppers and freshly ground black pepper
Roasted eggplant puree, finely chopped parsley and garlic
Also
- Dollop into soups or onto hot chicken or fish
Stir through hot pasta
