The National Centre for Dairy Education Australia (NCDEA) delivers vocational education and training for and with the Australian dairy industry.

An initiative of Dairy Australia and Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE, the NCDEA operates with an alliance of partner Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to deliver NCDEA dairy farm training nationally. The NCDEA delivers advanced manufacturing focused training through the Gilbert Chandler Centre, in Werribee, Victoria.

The NCDEA delivers nationally accredited courses from Certificate II to Advanced Diploma on a full time, part time or flexible basis in:

  • Agriculture (specialising in Dairy Production) for all aspects of farm operations and management
  • Food Technology (Dairy) and Food Processing for manufacturing roles

The NCDEA also offers a range of short courses and customised programs for dairy and processing organisations, individual farmers and people in the dairy service industry. This includes for Dairy industry human resource managers and workplace trainers and assessors.

Under the National Training Framework, skills obtained through life learning can be recognised and credited against course requirements – this is called recognition of prior learning (RPL). Those wishing to apply for recognition should talk to their local NCDEA training centre.
