Dairy Australia offers several scholarships to attract highly motivated and passionate persons into the industry. Dairy Australia also offers innovation awards to current members of the industry to foster a culture of innovation and skills development.

2013 Dairy Manufacturing Scholarships
Applications have now closed.
The key objective of this program is to attract recent graduates and Diploma holders into the dairy industry and train them in relevant aspects of dairy manufacturing.
Each year Dairy Australia offers Dairy Manufacturing scholarships to six new graduates and diploma holders who are committed and passionate about the dairy industry. The scholarship provides a generous living allowance and includes 2-3 months training comprising of dairy manufacturing theory and practical sessions at the National Centre for Dairy Education Australia (NCDEA), Werribee and practical training placements at leading dairy manufacturing companies. Interested applicants may apply online through a simple on line application.
The 2012 Dairy Manufacturing program was very successful based on the fact that a) 83% of the trained graduates secured jobs with dairy food companies within a few months of completing the training b) Average satisfaction score for the program as judged by scholarship graduates was 8.79/10, c) Average satisfaction score judged by sponsoring companies was 7.57/10 and d) 42 promising graduates applied for the scholarships

Innovation in Dairy Manufacturing Award 2013
Dairy Australia is committed to fostering a culture of innovation in the dairy industry. The ‘Innovation in Dairy Manufacturing Award’ is a Dairy Australia initiative aimed at motivating and supporting innovators in the industry. The award funded by Dairy Australia offers a grant of $20,000 to investigate a manufacturing innovation. Applying on-line is simple, easy and fast.
The 2013 Innovation in Dairy Manufacturing Award will be launched in Oct-Nov 2012.

Science and Innovation Awards for Young People in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
Grant applications are now open for the 2013 Science and Innovation Awards for Young People in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. If you’re 18–35, this is your chance to apply for up to $22,000 to fund your project on an innovative or emerging scientific issue to benefit Australia’s primary industries.
