Young boy with asthmaAlthough dairy foods are sometimes suggested as a common trigger for asthma, research has demonstrated that in most instances this is not true. In fact research suggests that dairy may actually help protect children against asthma. Unless diagnosed with a specific allergy to dairy foods by a medical practitioner, there is no reason to restrict or eliminate dairy from the diet.
