Dairy service levy

The Australian Dairy Service Levy is one per cent (0.315 cents per litre or $3150 for every million litres of milk produced), in line with the wishes of 66 per cent of those who voted in the first dairy industry levy poll in 2007.

The Dairy Service Levy Poll was accompanied by a nationwide series of consultation meetings. The advice, assistance and support of Australian Dairy Farmers, Australian Dairy Products Federation, dairy companies and the industry’s eight Regional Development Programs was vital throughout the development and delivery phases of the poll which was conducted between 12 February and 16 March 2007.
