Dairy Australia’s Executive Leadership Team is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the organisation. It is also responsible for ensuring Dairy Australia delivers against the performance targets set out in our strategic and operational plans. The Executive Leadership Team comprises:

Farm Productivity & Delivery
Chris Murphy
Chris leads the Farm Productivity and Delivery Group which invests in research, development, extension and education activities to support the profitability, sustainability and competitiveness of Australian dairy farmers. Chris has been involved in the dairy industry for his entire career largely focused on extension and on-farm change. Originally from a dairy farm in Northern Victoria, Chris has worked in the field with two dairy companies and has been involved in rural retailing and wholesaling, including on-line information provision. Chris spent 6 years at Dairy Australia previously working in the farm business management area and with the Regional
Development Programs. Chris rejoined Dairy Australia in 2011 after two years
in New Zealand with DairyNZ implementing their extension strategy.

Industry Promotion and Product Innovation
Isabel MacNeill
Isabel leads the Industry Promotion and Product Innovation business group, which invests in a wide range of activities that focus on adding value to milk after it leaves the farmgate. She has extensive dairy experience with more than 15 years with the New Zealand Dairy Board (NZDB) and the Fonterra Co-operative Group. Isabel’s roles have ranged from managing nutrition technical support and health research for Fonterra’s global consumer business though to managing the Dairy Advisory Bureau – the generic marketing organisation – for the NZDB. Her most recent roles at Fonterra have included technology leadership for health and bioactives and also in business innovation.

Trade & Strategy
Chris Phillips
Chris is responsible for Trade & Strategy, covering trade policy, representation, market intelligence, and international marketing and relationship activities. The group is also responsible for developing and prioritising Dairy Australia’s business plans and strategies. Chris is currently the Australian dairy representative on the International Dairy Federation Standing Committee on Economics and Policy. Before joining the dairy industry he worked in various policy adviser roles for the Australian Government, including the Productivity Commission.

Finance and Business Operations/Marketing and Communications Ross Joblin
Ross Joblin
Ross Joblin is Group Manager for the Business and Organisational Performance Group, and acting Group Manager of the Marketing and Communications Team.  
He also acts as Dairy Australia's Company Secretary. Ross has worked as a corporate lawyer and in a range of senior management roles. He has a broad range of commercial experience in a number of areas including operations management, corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, human resources and internal audit.

Industry People and Capability
Shane Hellwege
Shane leads the Industry People and Capability group which provides strategic direction and operational support for workforce development initiatives across the dairy industry supply chain. This includes responsibility for the National Centre of Dairy Education Australia (NCDEA). Shane has a strong education and commercial background with 25 years experience in the secondary and TAFE sectors and 12 years experience with private commercial enterprise. Shane developed a strong link with the dairy industry when employed by Kraft Foods at Strathmerton. Prior to joining Dairy Australia Shane held an executive position at GOTAFE with responsibility for training delivery in the Rural and manufacturing sectors.
