Milestone Reports
Milestones Reports are clearly specified in the schedules attached to the Project Agreement. They are essential material for Dairy Australia to be able to monitor the progress and outcomes of projects and may vary from reports describing the achievement of critical points to progress reports. They usually stipulate the nature of the report, the aspects to be addressed, the criteria for acceptance and the dates the reports are due.
In general the reporting requirements are set out in the following clause.
Milestone Reports
- The Research Organisation shall furnish Dairy Australia with a progress report within 28 days of completion of each Milestone.
- Milestone reports shall be in a form and in a level of detail acceptable to Dairy Australia. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Milestone reports shall include:
- a description of the Milestone and the date upon which it was reached, or an explanation as to why it was not reached on the date specified in the Project Documents;
- a report on the research and development undertaken by the Research Organisation since the last Milestone report, and the research and development to be undertaken before the next Milestone in the Project; and
- details of any commercial considerations applicable to the Project and any Generated Intellectual Property developed since the last Milestone report.
