Nutraceutical ingredients that can be used in functional foods are reported to deliver 3x the margin compared to conventional food ingredients. New products in this area typically have health related benefits and therefore provide scientific support for the health and nutritional program.
Adding value to dairy products and ingredients keeps the dairy industry internationally competitive and improves manufacturers’ ability to pay more for raw milk supply, thereby creating value throughout the supply chain.
