Industry risk management
Need/issue:
Consumers and the broader community expect and demand safe dairy foods produced using sustainable production systems. Increased scrutiny requires the dairy industry to demonstrate the integrity of its practices across the whole supply chain. Food security is an emerging focus of community concern. Dairy Australia provides a national whole of chain approach to support the industry tackle these issues. The industry-wide approach avoids duplication of effort and enables cost effective solutions to deliver a variety of consumer and market demands.
Program objective:
- To ensure the industry is capable of responding to issues/risks arising that can negatively impact the dairy industry
- To minimize the occurrence of events that could harm the industry and ultimately stakeholder wealth
- To minimize the impact of negative issues on industry reputation.
