Workforce regional engagement
Need/issues:
Regional Development Programs (RDPs) have supported workforce development programs such as “Cows Create Careers” and other promotional activities that focus on attracting young people to the industry.
To build this capacity further and for RDPs to provide leadership and support for workforce development, DA will provide resources and and advice on the development of regional strategies. While national leadership can be provided through the Policy, Strategy and Planning program, research shows that action is most effectively enabled through regional strategies.
Program objective:
- Provide regional enabling for workforce development strategies and programs
- upport regions with advice, data and resources for regional engagement
- Connect relevant state/federal government or departments to collaborate on development strategies, projects and with resources.
