Demonstration farms
Dairy Australia supports two dairy demonstration farms around Australia that provide sites and facilities for demonstration, extension, education and training. They are managed as commercial enterprises to maximise profit while demonstrating sound farm management techniques.
Demonstration farms fill an important development and extension role. They are distinct from research farms in that they are for showcasing techniques and practices to the wider dairy farming community, rather than the conduct of applied research.

From 2007 to 2010, Dairy Australia also supported a demonstration farm in Tasmania located at Woolnorth, in far northwest Tasmania. The results of this project can be found on the Tasmanian Dairy Demonstration Farm.
