Thursday 26 November 2009 | From Dairy Australia

Do you have a passion for cheesemaking? Have you studied food science, engineering, nutrition, agriculture or related disciplines? Most importantly, do you want to get ahead of the game?

Dairy Australia is offering three budding cheesemakers the chance to learn about cheese from the experts and large commercial manufacturers and retailers through the 2010 Australian Grand Dairy Awards Cheesemaking Scholarship.

Over three months full time during February to May 2010, you will complete a comprehensive training program which includes on the job training at some of Australia’s best cheese manufacturing companies as well one large retailer.

You’ll do the intensive cheesemaking course through the National Centre for Dairy Education Australia (NCDEA) and learn all the technical skills as well as being exposed to the latest commercial aspects of cheese production.

As well as getting the best and latest knowledge from the classroom and manufacturers, you’ll make great contacts within the industry which could help you stand out from the crowd.
