WestVic Dairy lunch forum for women
Tuesday 17 November 2009 | From Dairy Australia
WestVic Dairy and Deakin are set to host a women’s forum called Lead Laugh Lunch at Deakin University in Warrnambool.
WestVic Dairy Executive Officer Mike Weise said women provide critical leadership roles to farm businesses, often informally.
“They analyse performance, build plans, and help maintain the business momentum and morale,” he said.
“This is a great opportunity for these women to discuss some key issues and risks for the farm management team to consider this year, such as water, health, climate, profit, learning and land use change.”
Lead Laugh Lunch will provide women on farm with:
• Short punchy presentations on key issues and risks from local Deakin researchers
• An opportunity to get off farm and meet other women leading farm businesses
• A free lunch at a fun light hearted gathering with some pithy content
• A chance to win raffles, door prizes and spot prizes.
When: 11.30am–2.30pm, Tuesday 1 December 2009
Where: Deakin University Warrnambool
