Caldermeade Farm
Caldermeade

Up to 400 Holstein cows are milked twice daily at Caldermeade Farm.
You can watch the milking from the comfort of a glass fronted viewing room located above the 50 state of the art rotary dairy. While viewing the milking, you can learn all about life on the farm from the informative displays. Milking takes approximately one hour and starts at 3.30pm daily.

Horking's Dairy Farm

The Horkings have over 400 cows, a rotary dairy and an eco shelter shed. Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday between 11.15 – 2.30 pm.

Golden Cow Education and Tourism Centre

This working dairy has daily milkings at 11am. The Dairy Centre and Mini Farm provide a learning experience for all. They also sell 39 flavours of milk shakes. 
Open 10:30am - 4:00pm. Closed Tuesday and Saturday.

Locheilan Farmhouse

"Beautiful cheese from beautiful cows" .  Sue and Bruce McGorlick have a herd of 200 milking cows as well as 50 replacement calves and 50 yearlings.  Locheilan is open for visits from Wednesday to Sunday 9am to 5pm. You can see the cows, calves, dairy, automatic irrigation system and cheesery.

Clover Hill Dairies

Award winning Clover Hill Dairies run 400 dairy cows on 50ha of beautiful rainforest on the northern side of Saddleback Mountain, with 180 degree views of the Pacific Ocean.  Cows are milked three times daily. To assist efficiency and reduce environmental impact, the farm is fully computerised. Visitors are welcome by appointment. School groups of up to 20 students can be accommodated.

Gavana Holsteins
Glenmore

Glenmore Gavana Holsteins facilities include computer operations for milking such as sampling and recording data. They milk 160 cows on their 400 acre farm. They have a viewing platform and can cater for morning and afternoon tea, lunch and even dinner.

Malanda Dairy Centre  

The Malanda Dairy Centre features a museum where you can take a step back in time and share the experiences of the Tablelands' first dairy farmers. The museum features traditional life displays, information boards, sound scapes and artefacts providing an insight into the region's development.

Visitors can take the guided tour through the modern and operational dairy factory. The guided tour is unique and extremely informative as the experienced guides are third generation dairy farmers who can provide an insight into all aspects of the dairy industry. Watch and experience the processing of milk and the making of delicious cheese.

We aim to provide a unique dairy farm experience targeted mainly at families, however we welcome groups of any size. Various farm activities and session lengths are offered and prices vary accordingly. Visitors can experience a hands-on milking session and learn how the milk gets from the cow to their fridge. Our property was selected in 1874 and is still run by the same family 5 generations later.

Gallo Dairyland is a fully functional dairy farm producing a range of gourmet dairy products and hand crafted chocolates. A glass wall viewing platform lets visitors see the cheesemaking happening in a sterile room. There is a 100-seat cafe, featuring fresh farm baked produce. Open daily.

Anderson's Dairy Farm

A hands on experience is provided through feeding calves and milking cows  (via the use of a portable milker).  The Andersons work with their processor in producing flavoured milk and other milk products.

Endeavour Park

This local dairy has been run by the Klan family for 85 years. You will experience the afternoon milking time with the Klan family and their 100 Aussie Red cows in a rustic working dairy farm setting. You will come away with memories of hand feeding greedy calves, a tour of the milk operation, and experience manual and machine milking. There is an emphasis on gadgets and techniques used by the pioneers.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA 

Bd Farm
Paris Creek

Bd Farm's dairy herd consists of about 100 milking cows with some 60 young stock run on about 400 acres. The biodynamically managed area in and around Paris Creek has grown to 1000 acres. The farm uses milk from about 250 cows, which give between 22,000 and 25,000 litres of milk per week.

At the education, tourist and visitors centre, visitors can view yogurt production, and gain information about biodynamic principles and products. Groups may make a booking for visits.

TASMANIA

 King Island Dairies

King Island Dairies produces high quality French-style camembert, brie and blue cheeses, along with traditional cheddars and hard cheeses, yoghurt and the thickest clotted cream. In excess of 2,500 tonnes of cheese is made on King Island from the milk produced by the 25 dairy farms and 7500 dairy cows.   A Fromagerie is open to the public and visitors can see the cheeses maturing in the cellar. Experience the taste and flavour of the impressive range of cheese that has earned the Dairy its international reputation.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Bannister Downs Dairy
Northcliffe

A family owned and operated dairy farm, Bannister Downs has been in the Daubney family since 1924. In 2005 a purpose built facility was constructed enabling Mat and Sue to process their milk.  Bannister Downs milk is packaged in a pouch designed in Sweden which leads world technology for sustainable food packaging, and is the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.  A range of premium vintage cheddars is also produced. The Dairy Lounge Cafe is open 10am - 3pm on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays. The cafe has a view of the farm and you can watch the milk being processed through viewing windows on Thursdays.  Group bookings by appointments.

Harvey Cheese manufactures hand-made Mediterranean style cheese, such as plain and flavoured Fetta, Ricotta, Romano, and "Romano" style savoury firm cheeses. New cheeses include Blue Vein, White Mould "Brie" and Washed Rind styles. Our Fetta also comes in some exotic flavours.
