This interactive 2-day program gives participants knowledge and skills to manage fundamental principles of rearing healthy calves. On day 2 participants will review application of principles in a calf rearing system on farm.
Program topics include preparation for calving; colostrum management; calf feeding; weaning; calf health management; review of basic husbandry procedures; calf identification; bobby calf management and the calf rearing environment.
All participants will take home useful resources to support calf rearing on farm.
