SOIL DAY WORKSHOP FOR DAIRY FARMERS
Tuesday 27th May, 10:00am 2:00pm, Strathallan.
Come along for a hands-on Soil Workshop designed specifically for dairy farmers, hosted on-farm at Strathallan. This practical session will focus on understanding the fundamentals of soil health and management - key to improving productivity, pasture performance, and long-term sustainability.
What you can expect:
- 10:00am - Arrival & Registration. Thanks to Goulburn Broken CMA (GBCMA), all participants can register on arrival for a free soil test, with results to be shared and discussed in a follow-up session in July.
- 10:30am - Soil Essentials with Christian Bannan. Hear from Christian Bannan, experienced soil scientist, as he walks us through the basics of soil health, structure, and management strategies suited to dairy operations. We'll also examine the on-site soil pit, offering a deeper look into the soil beneath your feet.
