SAFE & EFFECTIVE CATTLE ARTIFICAL INSEMINATION

Broaden your knowledge to improve pregnancy rates.

The program will be delivered over three days, with two face-to-face classes being held at Glenormiston training facility and one practical on farm session. It will consist of theory-based delivery as well as practical training using Bovine simulation equipment at Glenormiston and practice on live animals on farm. The program will conclude with live insemination training and final assessment. Learners are expected to complete all learning modules, attend face to face course activities and undertake an informal assessment to determine their suitability to progress to live animal training and assessment.

Students will complete 6 hours of pre reading online prior to face to face delivery. Learners are expected to complete all learning modules, attend face to face course activities and undertake an informal assessment to determine their suitability to progress to live animal training and assessment.

Upon completion of the course, students will be issued with a Statement of Attainment. This will show credit and certification for the following accredited units:

AHCAIS304 Artificially inseminate livestock

AHCLSK341 Coordinate artificial insemination and fertility management of livestock
