Murray Dairy is seeking applications for new Board Members

Three Murray Dairy board positions become vacant this year and Murray Dairy is seeking applications to fill these positions for appointment, commencing formally in October 2018.

These skills-based appointments arise due to current farmer representatives Rick Cross (Chair) retiring and Director, Greg Ault, electing not to stand. Service provider Director, Andrew Mann, has completed his co-opted term, and is intending to nominate for a three year term.

Murray Dairy is a Company Limited by Guarantee representing dairy farmers throughout northern Victoria and southern New South Wales. It is responsible for coordinating a comprehensive research, extension and industry development portfolio across the region.

The Murray Dairy board is responsible for the governance of the organisation and contributes to the strategic direction of Murray Dairy. 

This is a unique opportunity to take up a leadership role in the industry, contributing to the future of dairying in the region. 

To be considered for this board position, applicants should demonstrate knowledge of, or experience in, one or more of the following fields:

  • Dairy farming and milk production
  • Dairy industry structures and organisations
  • Food processing, including manufacturing of dairy products
  • Business management, finance or law
  • Research and extension
  • Marketing and promotion
  • Natural resource management
  • Industry and/or community development
  • Leadership
