SA Dairy Farmer Sarah Moore to speak at 2024 ADC

From Manchester to Clare, 30-year-old Dairy Operations Manager Sarah Moore is an active member of the SA dairy community and one of Dairy Australia’s Farmer Ambassadors.

What started out as an overseas gap year in 2019 turned to milking, management and a life on the farm, where Sarah remains five years later with her partner Emily.

With no prior agricultural background, Sarah slipped into dairy work seamlessly and praises the industry for its support. She has credited the dairy community for being welcoming, and the farmers for openly sharing stories and knowledge with newcomers.

What does a day in the life look like? Sarah loves that every day is different and impresses in her role which covers everything from HR to staff management, animal nutrition, livestock health, maintenance, pulling calves and writing rosters. A “jack of all trades, master of none” is how she describes it.

Sarah’s bubbly personality, love for the outdoors and eagerness to learn are what make her a rising up-and-comer in the industry and the perfect candidate for this year’s Australian Dairy Conference. Don't miss Sarah on stage in February, where she will share her story at Crown Melbourne for one of dairy’s largest annual events, with 800 attendees expected.
