Dairy NSW Board of Directors

The Board of seven directors is made up of:

  • Four Directors who are dairy farmers with diverse farming system backgrounds and/or diverse geographic Dairy NSW regions, and 
  • Three Directors with specialist skills and experience in business, governance and industry.

All Board members have a substantial dairy farmer contact base. 

The Board meets bi-monthly to chart the direction and policies of Dairy NSW. The Board acts in accordance with the Dairy NSW constitution and the law in aiming to create and build substantial value for the dairy industry through the setting of effective strategies and financial objectives for the organisation. 

The Board's charter is implemented and managed by the Regional Manager who acts as Company Secretary to the Board.

Jane Sherborne

 Dairy NSW Board of Directors Jane Sherborne 

Jane is a dairy farmer and advocate for the NSW dairy industry. Specifically, Jane promotes the development and delivery of research, development and extension is region specific and meets the needs of NSW dairy farmers.

Jane serves as an active member on several state and federal industry committees, utilising these experiences to build successful cross-sector partnerships

Delia Dray

 Dairy NSW Board of Directors Delia Dray 

Delia is a former senior executive of the NSW Government and current Director of the Burrendong Botanic Garden and Arboretum Trust.

Delia contributes significant skills and experience in corporate governance, organisational performance and strategic planning to the Dairy NSW Board. Delia also has specific expertise in research and development management and family farming enterprises.

Andrew Farr
Farmer representative

 Dairy NSW Board of Directors Andrew Farr

Andrew is an enthusiastic and proactive role model for the NSW dairy industry, farming in the state’s Hunter Valley.

As a producer and active member of the Hunter Dairy Discussion Group, Andrew uses his extensive understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing farmers to support the strategic alignment of regional priorities to Dairy NSW research, development and extension activities.

Simon Fee
Skills-based representative 

 Dairy NSW Board of Directors Simon Fee

Simon is an experienced business leader and the Head of Sales for Virbac Australia.

From his experience in this industry, Simon contributes to Dairy NSW in the areas of strategy formulation and governance, to ensure strategic spending of research, development and extension funding that will promote sustainability and longevity of the NSW dairy industry.

Sue McGinn
Deputy Director

 Dairy NSW Board of Directors Sue McGinn 

Sue farms with her husband Brett on the Mid-North Coast of NSW, having first-hand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing the NSW dairy industry.

Sue holds both Member and Director positions on a number of Commercial Boards and Local Council, in addition to her role as Director and Deputy Chair to the Board of Dairy NSW. Her experience in these roles assists Dairy NSW by bringing strategic, audit, risk, compliance and corporate governance knowledge to the table.


Our Farm, Our Plan

Our Farm, Our Plan is a new program designed to equip farmers to clarify their long term goals, identify the actions needed and to manage uncertainty and risk.

Hay and grain reports

The hay and grain report is commissioned by Dairy Australia to provide an independent and timely assessment of hay and grain markets in each dairying region. The report is updated 40 weeks per year.
