Membership
Dairy Australia has two member groups: dairy farm businesses (Group A) and peak industry bodies (Group B) and reports to members and stakeholders through a range of channels.
Group A members
Group A membership is voluntary and free to eligible Australian dairy farm businesses. We encourage business operators who pay the Dairy Service Levy to become Group A members of Dairy Australia.
Membership allows farmers to vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the election of Board Directors and other items of business, contributing to decisions that shape the dairy industry.

Group B members
Australian Dairy Farmers (ADF) and the Australian Dairy Products Federation (ADPF) are Group B members of Dairy Australia.
Australian Dairy Farmers
ADF represents Australia’s dairy farmers on a range of issues that are often agri-political in nature and need state and/or Australian Government representation and lobbying. The ADF is funded by voluntary membership fees and by income collected from other investments. It comprises six state dairy farmer organisations:
- NSW Farmers' Association Dairy Committee.
- Queensland Dairyfarmers' Organisation.
- South Australian Dairyfarmers' Association.
- Tasmanian Farmers & Grazers Association Dairy Council.
- Victorian Farmers Federation United Dairyfarmers of Victoria.
- Western Australian Farmers' Federation Dairy Council.
Australian Dairy Products Federation
ADPF represents commercial non-farm members of the Australian dairy industry by promoting their interests to state governments and the Australian Government and other sectors of the community. ADPF is funded by voluntary membership fees for entities operating in Australia that are engaged in the manufacture, marketing or trading of dairy products and/or dairy related products.
Reporting to members
Dairy Australia reports on our financial and investment performance each year to members and stakeholders at the AGM and through our Annual Report and Performance Report.
