Workshops were presented to approximately 80 attendees (farmers and service providers) across the locations of Lismore, Wauchope, Tocal, Nowra and Bega.
The focus of the workshops was to share findings and resources available to support future dairy industry response and preparedness. Content included the climate vulnerability assessment for the dairy industry, case studies sharing experiences from farmers interviewed after past storm and flood events, as well as a climate risk tool in development by Scibus. This tool will be available for dairy farmers in 2025.
You can watch four case studies available, sharing experiences and insights of farmers impacted by storm and floods, covering topics of planning, networks and animal health.
The majority of projects from SFIRP draw to a close by end of December 2024 but stay tuned as more resources and tools are released on the DPIRD Dairy website.
