DairyTas seeks new farmer directors

DairyTas is looking for 2 farmers to join its state-based board of directors. This is a 3-year term, with an option for a second term.

The DairyTas board services the Tasmanian Dairy Industry through funding and supporting projects and activities to promote on farm productivity, farm management and development of the industry. Six of the nine director positions are dairy farmer directors.  

DairyTas is funded through Dairy Australia by the dairy services levy with an annual budget allocation plus funds generated from other projects that are secured on behalf of the industry. DairyTas are looking for two dairy farmer representatives with a strong industry commitment and knowledge who are able to devote some time to working with a progressive, forward looking organisation to promote the interests of dairying in Tasmania.

Farmer Directors are paid a daily allowance plus a kilometre travel allowance for attending meetings. For more information, please download the position description.
