The past 12 months has been one of the driest on record for Western Victoria. Now is the time farmers need to undertake an autumn review of feed on hand and requirements until there is pasture back in rotation. It is also the time for farmers to ensure they're in the position to make the most of the autumn break and get pasture out of the ground quickly.

The Review and Renew workshops will bring together local agronomists, nutritionists and veterinarians to discuss the best options around feed planning and pasture recovery.

Topics to be discussed include:

Animal nutritional requirements for production.
Assessing feed available and budgeting for autumn.
Fodder options to meet the increased demand in dry conditions.
Recovery/resowing of drought affected pasture.
Effective fertiliser application to make the most of the autumn break.
