This course is specifically designed for young dairy farmers who are ready to take charge of their future. Its for those who want to create a clear path forward and have the ability to implement changes and decisions that will shape their career.

Join fellow young farmers in the 'My Future, My Plan' program to work through both short- and long-term goals. The course is designed to help you set actionable steps that will lead you toward achieving your future ambitions.


What will you gain from the 'My Future, My Plan' process?

  • Use the "Farm Fitness Checklist" to assess your current situation and identify opportunities for career growth.
  • Complete a Quick Plan to organize your ideas and outline your future direction.
  • Develop a Plan on a Page that aligns your personal and career goals.

Who is this course for?

This course is for any young farmer who wants to take a strategic approach to planning their career. By participating with others who share your journey, you will gain clarity and alignment in your long-term thinking and planning. The program is designed to help you improve your decision making skills, manage risk and build a vision for your future in the dairy industry.


Course Details

This two-day, in-person course will be held at Tamar Valley Resort Grindelwald, with a nights accommodation and meals provided.

Over the two days, well combine team-building activities with focused planning sessions to help everyone develop their personal and professional goals. Along the way, well enjoy a relaxing social evening, giving everyone a chance to unwind, build connections, and have some fun outside of the formal sessions. By the end of the course, youll have made new friendships, gained fresh ideas, and put together a clear plan for your future.

Our Farm, Our Plan is funded through the Farm Business Resilience Program. Through this program farmers, including farm managers and employees, have access to subsidised learning and development opportunities in strategic business management, farm risk management and decision-making, natural resource management, and personal and social resilience.
