Dairy Sustainability Framework Workshop

Dairy Australia is conducting a project on Sustainability in the dairy industry across Southeast Asia. We have undertaken some direct engagement with some industry representatives earlier this year, and you may also have been asked to complete a short survey in the past month seeking your view on sustainability in your local dairy sector.Building from this information gathering process, we are now going to offer workshops for key industry players to come together to discuss the concept and value of an industry approach to sustainability, and to support the development of a sustainability framework for the dairy industry in each of six key Southeast Asia markets.

As a key stakeholder in the Indonesian dairy industry, you are invited to participate in the workshop which will be offered in Jakarta. You may also nominate one additional colleague to join you at the workshop.

The workshop aims to bring a small group of industry participants together to share thoughts on sustainability challenges for the Indonesian dairy industry and then develop a framework that can be used as a guide for the industry to address these challenges. The Australian Dairy Sustainability Framework will be shared as an example and a possible approach, but the workshop aims to leave you with the foundations of a framework that is aligned to the Indonesian context and challenges. Having approaches to sustainability that are based on similar structures and principles is intended to support free flowing trade across the region.
