WestVic Dairy is thrilled to announce the Young Dairy Network (YDN) Study Tour to South Australia!

Thanks to the generous support of the DemoDAIRY Foundation and Gardiner Foundation, WestVic Dairy is proud to offer this exciting study tour opportunity to young dairy farmers and service providers at a significantly reduced cost.

Over four days, participants will visit a range of progressive dairies and agribusinesses across South Australia each with a compelling story of growth, adaptation, and generational transition.

Participants will explore how innovative farming operations are embracing succession planning, diverse employment models, and cutting-edge practices to build resilient and sustainable futures.

Farm study tours are great way of learning about new technologies, farming systems, and ways of working, where participants can then use their findings to further develop their careers and businesses.

Participant contribution

  • A fee of $425 is required, which covers a portion of the tour expenses. Additional costs include meals and drinks on the first night and any personal out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Each participant will collaborate in a small team to prepare and submit a report on the farm businesses visited.

Selection process

1. Application forms submitted by 12:00pm Friday 15 August.

2. Interviews of shortlisted applicants will be held in the second half of August. These will be face to face or, where necessary, online.

3. Successful applicants will be advised by the end of August 2025 with the fee payable by Monday 1 September.
