EOI HEALTHY HOOVES (WestVic Dairy)

This 1 day workshop is for farmers and employees who wish to review skills and knowledge to prevent and treat lameness. A presentation on key points to consider when reducing the risk of herd lameness is followed by an on farm practical session where safe restraint and approach to hoof problems will be demonstrated.

Participants will:

• Learn how to safely treat hoof problems
• Gain insights into how cow behaviour and track design influence risk of herd lameness
• Take home useful farm resources to support management of hoof health.

Lunch will be provided, no charge to attend.
