EXPRESSION OF INTEREST Nutrition Fundamentals

In this 2 day workshop, participants will gain knowledge of principles to support calf health from birth to weaning on day 1, and review management of calf rearing on farm with an experienced calf rearer on farm on day 2.

Topics covered include preparation for calving and calf rearing environment; nutrition including feeding hygiene; weaning; health and management of sick calves; calf identification; bobby calf management and review of basic husbandry procedures.

All participants will take home useful resources to support calf rearing on farm.

Lunch will be provided on both days.
