HUMANE EUTHANASIA OF LIVESTOCK (IRREWILLIPIE)

This 1 day practical course provides participants with knowledge of legal responsibilities and skills to safely and humanely euthanase sick, injured or unsaleable dairy cattle.

Dr Lucy Collins BVSc, will be presenting this course which covers:

• Best practice animal welfare standards for humane euthanasia of cattle
• Options for humane euthanasia of cattle
• Management of euthanasia including confirmation of death in cattle

The workshop includes a practical session on use and maintenance of the Blitz-Kerner captive bolt.
