Real stories and practical tips from Tassie Dairy Farmers who have done it!

The 1 day workshops/discussions are being held across the State at the end of April.

These days are designed to assist dairy people in our Tasmanian dairy industry by hearing about dairy farmers journeys from farmers that have done it themselves through hard yakka and having developed a network of people in their business.

These Dairy Farmers will talk about how they got into Share Farming, Stock Ownership and into Land Ownership. There are many different paths for this to occur. We will hear from two different dairy farmers each day.They will talk about the individual journey they took to achieve goals.

Each Dairy Farmer will talk about the key aspects they believe were important to get them to where they are today. The skills they had to develop and how they developed them (upskilled through such dairy farming days).

At each event we will also hear from an Accountant and Bank Manager. The Accountant will discuss different trading entities (Sole Trader or a Family Trust). The Accountant will give an insight into the pros and cons and why or why not.

The Bank Manager will talk about what they look for when accessing an application from a prospective client. Credibility, Character and Credit Worth? What else do they look for?
