Notes:
Change in price is the change since the last report. Prices are estimates based on delivery to dairy farms with allowance for freight, storage, and marketing costs, but exclusive of GST. Wheat prices are for the relevant stockfeed wheat available in a region (ASW, AGP, SFW1 or FED1) and F1 for barley.
Commentary
- Wheat: Up $20 ($315 to $325/tonne). Barley: Up $5 ($260 to $270/tonne). Triticale: Steady ($265 to $275/tonne). Oats: Down $10 ($255 to $265/tonne).
- The harvest in Western Australia is almost complete, with a higher than anticipated total crop yield forecast.
- Wheat and barley prices both increased as some growers began to offer less wheat over the Christmas break.
