Day out for dairy farming women with Queen of the Jungle

The 2018 South West Dairy Ladies’ Luncheon once again promises a great day out for local dairy women on August 15, with “Queen of the Jungle” Fiona O’Loughlin as one of the main speakers.

Tickets are now available and cost $30, plus $5.74 to cover GST and Eventbrite charges.  The tickets includes a complimentary drink and a three course lunch.

It will be held at the Brother Fox Café on the Deakin Warrnambool campus and provides women in the dairy industry with a chance to relax, reflect and rejuvenate.

Ms O’Loughlin, a veteran comedian and this year’s winner of the reality TV show “I’m a Celebrity…get me out of here”, will talk about the importance of women looking after themselves.

Ms O’Loughlin will be joined by local athlete Virginia Moloney. Ms Moloney grew up on a dairy farm in Garvoc and has made headlines for winning the 2016 Melbourne Marathon and her performance at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The South West Dairy Ladies’ Luncheon, which is organised by WestVic Dairy working under the direction of a committee of local dairy farming women, has been running successfully for over eight years and aims to inspire women in the dairy industry.

The event has received support from a number of local organisations and sponsors. This year’s event is sponsored by the Gardiner Dairy Foundation, Westpac Bank and Legendairy.
