Young Dairy Network Team

The Young Dairy Network (YDN) provides a link for young farmers with similar interests, in an environment where they can share ideas and experiences both local and relevant to their career stages.

Across the Subtropical region, there are six YDN regions:

  • Darling Downs
  • South East Queensland
  • Sunshine Coast
  • Far North Queensland
  • Far North Coast, and
  • Mid North Coasts of NSW

Each region has an Operational Steering Committee (OSC) made up of young farmers from that region. Each region's OSC decides on the events and activities that suit the region and benefit the farmers in that region. The Young Dairy Network is managed by Subtropical Dairy.

Dairy biosecurity

Dairy biosecurity is vital for protecting your farm. Dairy farmers and their advisors now have access to a new online biosecurity tool to build their skills and adapt their management approach to biosecurity risks.

Hay and grain reports

The hay and grain report is commissioned by Dairy Australia to provide an independent and timely assessment of hay and grain markets in each dairying region. The report is updated 40 weeks per year.
