Notes:
Change in price is the change since the last report. Prices are estimates based on delivery to dairy farms with allowance for freight, storage, and marketing costs, but exclusive of GST. Wheat prices are for the relevant stockfeed wheat available in a region (ASW, AGP, SFW1 or FED1) and F1 for barley.
Commentary
- Wheat: Down $15 ($320 to $330/tonne). Barley: Steady ($260 to $270/tonne). Triticale: Down $15 ($265 to $275/tonne). Oats: Down $5 ($280 to $290/tonne).
- The harvest has been on and off again this week following bouts of wet weather across the state.
- Wheat prices fell this week due to the stronger AUD and weaker future prices.
- Barley prices followed wheat and decreased this week with the stronger AUD also impacting prices.
- Both GM and non-GM canola prices continued to increase, with higher than expected yields.
- Lupin prices have softened this week however there are not a lot of grower selling at this price level.
