Murdoch Calf Health Project

Optimal calf health is the key to growing successful heifers. Understanding how the WA industry benchmarks with the rest of the world provides us with critical information on areas to improve.  The project will investigate aspects of colostrum quality and its impact on the passive transfer of immunity in calves.

Along with the focus on calf health, aspects of Mycoplasma and Theileria diseases will also be investigated. Understanding their economic impacts and possible biosecurity measures will assist in managing their risks.
