Murray Dairy are looking to fill four board member positions this year and are seeking applications to fill these positions.
Murray Dairy are looking to fill four board member positions this year and are seeking applications to fill these positions for appointment, commencing formally in October 2020. This opportunity arises due to the expiration of membership terms for three board member positions and a fourth position which was a casual vacancy.
These board member positions are skills-based appointments with farmer member Andrew Tyler current farmer representative and co-deputy chair and Mark Bailey service provider representative both being eligible for renomination for a second term. The casual vacancy currently being filled by farmer representative Racheal Napier also eligible for nomination with the fourth position vacant due to the expiration of membership terms by farmer member Karen Moroney (current chair).
Murray Dairy is a Company Limited by Guarantee representing dairy farmers throughout the Murray Dairy region of northern Victoria and southern New South Wales. It is responsible for coordinating a comprehensive research, extension and industry development portfolio across the Murray Dairy region.
To be considered for this board position, applicants should demonstrate knowledge of, or experience in, one or more of the following fields:
- Dairy farming and milk production
- Dairy industry structures and organisations
- Food processing, including manufacturing of dairy products
- Business management, finance or law
- Research and extension
- Marketing and promotion
- Natural resource management– particularly water policy
- Industry and/or community development
