    Dairy Discussion Groups

Dairy discussion groups enable dairy farmers to share ideas and learn from each other’s experiences.

A dairy farmer discussion group is a group of people engaged in the business of dairy farming. The group may have either a specific focus (e.g. mastitis) or cover different topics throughout the year. Groups can be established to solve a particular problem with a short time frame or they can be ongoing.

Dairy Australia recognises that dairy discussion groups are vital to the health of our industry. Therefore funding is available for both existing and new discussion groups.

Up to $3,000 per group per year is available to assist with the costs of forming a new group and:

    • Employing a facilitator
    • Attending a group tour
    • Engaging a guest speaker
    • Taking part in a group training course

Each group application will be assessed based on the contribution to the industry and to the learning of the members involved.

If you are interested in forming a group, or would like to find out about groups in your local area, contact Liz Mann at DairyTas on:
    Mobile: 0482 121 655
