In the Cools Cows Discussion Group you will gain an understanding of the signs of heat stress and learn how to utilise the Temperature Humidity Index (THI) to predict and assess the risk of heat stress for your farm.
The discussion group will help you to understand heat management strategies such as nutritional strategies, including the effects of various dietary components such as NDF, starch, crude protein, and fat on a cows ability to tolerate heat, as well as infrastructure options.
You will develop strategies to minimise the impact of heat stress on your cows, optimise milk yield, and ensure the overall well-being of your cows.
