Tasmanian Dairy Industry Update – YDN Ireland Study Tour 2025

The Tasmanian Young Dairy Network invites members of the Tasmanian dairy industry to an update session on the 2025 YDN Ireland Study Tour.

Earlier this year, a group of emerging Tasmanian dairy leaders travelled to Ireland to explore how innovation, sustainability, and technology are shaping the future of one of the worlds leading pasture-based dairy sectors. Over two weeks, participants visited Teagascs Moorepark Research Centre, progressive family farms, and agribusinesses showcasing best-practice in research, digital tools, and environmental management.

This session will provide an opportunity to hear directly from participants as they share what they learned and the knowledge, ideas, and inspiration they have brought back to Tasmania. The discussion will focus on how these insights can be applied locally to strengthen Tasmanias dairy industry, enhance farm productivity, and continue building leadership capacity for the future.
