Raising the Bar on Calf Disbudding - Service Provider Workshop

Join us for an update on the revised industry guidelines for calf disbudding along with current training and support options.

The session will be hosted by Dr Stephanie Bullen, Dairy Australias National Animal Health & Welfare Lead. We will explore where the industry is currently at and inform on the latest disbudding resources and extension developed by Dairy Australia for disbudding service providers and farmers to support best practice.

We will also highlight the latest updates to the Animal Care Commitment of the Australian Dairy Sustainability Framework (including calf disbudding). With input based on your experience we will explore future opportunities to enable and support best-practice disbudding, such as access to local anesthetic and veterinary/disbudding services.
