This 1-day practical course provides participants with knowledge of legal responsibilities and skills to safely and humanely euthanise sick, injured or unsaleable dairy cattle.


This course will cover:

  • Best practice animal welfare standards for humane euthanasia of cattle
  • Options for humane euthanasia of cattle
  • Management of euthanasia including confirmation of death in cattle

The workshop includes a practical session on use and maintenance of the Blitz-Kerner captive bolt.
