Delivered by DrDave Barber,these two-day workshops provide participants with information on how to make on-farm decisions to efficiently feed dairy cows.

The workshops will cover:

• ruminant digestion and rumen health,
• using and understanding feed tests when buying feeds or using home grown fodder,
• working out nutrients and water requirements for milkers on your farm,
• basic knowledge in using supplements and forages to balance the cows diet,
• learning how to do a feed budget to secure future forage needs, and
• learning about nutritional tools that you can use on farm.

The Nutrition Fundamentals workshop is designed for dairy farmers, farm employees, rural store staff and dairy service providers wishing to understand more about feeding their dairy herds.
