Feeding Pastures for Profit (FPFP) program aims to help dairy farmers to develop skills and gain confidence in making decisions around

1. How much pasture do I allocate to the herd today?

2. How much supplement should I be giving the herd today?

These decisions have a large impact on farm profit through making the most of the farm businesss available resources.

The program runs for 7-8 months from March- November following pastures and their life cycle for efficient management.

This year's program will be run by facilitator Tom Farran from Farm and Co.

Starting dates for this program are:

Theory Day 1- Tuesday 24 March - Numurkah Town Hall

Theory Day 2- Tuesday 31 March - Numurkah Town Hall

On Farm Day 1- Tuesday 14th April - Farm TBC

Remaining 4 on farm days dates and locations will be discussed with the group and confirmed as the course goes.

PLEASE NOTE THE DATES FOR THE ON FARM DAYS 2-5 AREN'T DETERMINED YET AND WILL DEPEND ON SESONAL CONDIITONS. DATES IN THIS EVENT POST 14TH APRIL WILL BE ADVISED TO GROUP IN REAL TIME BASED ON SEASONAL CONDITIONS.
