Webinar Description

This webinar will review emerging technological routes that can potentially be employed to offer value-adding opportunities for side streams such as whey in dairy processing. A technology toolbox based on membrane separation techniques will be presented, to assist dairy processors with assessing management options for dairy effluents with different levels of salinity. This presentation will demonstrate how saline effluent could be diverted to produce chemicals for onsite consumption with promising ROI, reducing sodium loading in evaporation ponds/trade waste. It will also showcase a chromatography method to reduce water consumption.
