There's huge potential to raise the productivity of Tasmanian pastures, and whether you're a seasoned farmer or brand new to pasture management, you're sure to learn something valuable at this two-day pasture management workshop being facilitated by Symon Jones and Jacob Lightman.


We'll be covering the following topics.

- Pasture species identification and requirements for pasture growth

- Principles of grazing management

- How to set rotation length to maximise pasture growth

- Cow requirements and how to do a feed budget

- How to measure the amount of pasture in a paddock

- How to measure leaf stage and calculate leaf emergence rate


Lunch and morning tea will be provided.
