North Central CMA are looking to engage broadly in the communities of Bendigo, up through to Swan Hill and across to Echuca. These round tables is a key engagement event that run each year that helps guide the direction of the CMA and future programs.
For those not familiar with Regional Roundtables, under the Our Catchments, Our Communities agreement, Regional Community Roundtables were initiated to provide an opportunity for a broad range of groups and community members across the region to connect with each other and in doing so:
- Communicate their priorities in relation to the environment
- Convey their environmental achievements so far, i.e. what they have been doing
- Identify mutual areas of interest
- Discuss priorities that align with the 2021-27 North Central Regional Catchment Strategy
- Provides an opportunity to work together in the future.
With the Murray Darling Basin review and impacts to irrigation as we adapt to the future. It is vital to hear from the community and continue to build relationships that promote investment into our region. The programs we deliver across the CMA support the regional objectives and the round tables are a great opportunity to connect and provide feedback.
