Taree Dairy Pre-Employment Program - Expression of Interest

Looking for a career in the dairy industry?

This unique fee-free pre-employment program, delivered in partnership with TAFE NSW and Dairy NSW, has been designed to meet employer needs for entry-level support staff.

It will be a practical hands-on program that will focus on developing the participants skills, growing their confidence, and creating interest in Dairy Farming as a rewarding career option.

The program will cover the below topics and content areas on a local farm:

• Rear newborn and young livestock
• Handling livestock using basic techniques
• Milk livestock
• Health and safety on farm

In the afternoon the participant will be placed on local dairy farms, to learn valuable hands on skills

Eligibility - are you:

• 15 years or over? no longer at school
• An Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen?
• Live or work in NSW
